May is Mental Awareness Month

Mental health is always ignored in all cultures and sub-cultures. There needs to be more education in this area so that people who are suffering with mental health issues can get the help they deserve. So many people suffer in silence and the dark; they do not know who to turn or where to go or fear judgment from their own people even.

May is the month of mental awareness and we need to come together and help those who struggle with mental health issues. No one should go through this alone. Just as one would take care of the other organs in their body and seek appropriate help, the brain and mind needs to be given the same attention. The brain is the most vital organ which governs and regulates so many other systems within the body. Its health and well-being should be emphasized and encouraged.
